Most pages describe geographically well-defined areas, such as islands like Crete or Sardinia. But some pages treat larger areas, such as France or Sweden. Detailed descriptions are given on those pages about which areas are covered.

Selected locations in this summary are those which I have visited. Therefore, there is much of Europe, which is interesting from an orchid point of view, but does not appear here.
